Ms Maria from Canada volunteered on a project on Community-based tourism by ORCBT. She stayed with a local family and had a chance to attend Independence Day function at the local town. She was invited to speak and address locals along with leading community leaders.
She shared her views on how can local community can make best use of her human resources and focused on more liberty for women in villages. She emphasised on the importance of education of girl child to make her self dependent and a more productive citizen of the society.

While staying with local family, she loved cooking Indian food and learnt
about local recipies. Being a vegitarian, she had a chance to learn lots of
Indian vegitarian dishes. She tought local students dance and music from french
speaking parts of Canada.
