Ms. Susannah Moore Dickersons - a Science Graduate from Harvard University recently spent 20 days on Responsible tourism project undertaken by ORCBT. She volunteered to teach Physics to local students in a small city of Haryana.
Local handicrafts making difference for environment protection
Francasca and Julia from Italy choose to spent their holidays in a village and learnt to make local handicafts made out of old waste clothes. They were impressed with the innovative use of waste clothes for recycling. In the picture Francasca is making a bedsheet from strips made out of used clothes.
Students from USA getting their first hand experience of Indian culture
Lauren and Dustin, students from USA decided to explore Indian with its real culture and decided to spend their holidays with ORCBT in a small city called Jind.
Ms Josefine from France had an opportunity to live with local family in Narwana (a small town in North India)- an experience that changed her openions about India and Indian culture. Before joing ORCBT, she had read a lot about India before making a final visit to the country. She confessed that she had some negative openions which changes drastically upon experiencing the 'real culture'.
Celebrating Indian Independence Day with the Host Community
Ms Maria from Canada volunteered on a project on Community-based tourism by ORCBT. She stayed with a local family and had a chance to attend Independence Day function at the local town. She was invited to speak and address locals along with leading community leaders.
